Hassan Askari
Managing Director

Hassan is a leader in the industry who has been heavily involved in all aspects of the sport and facility management for more than 20 years and has a proven track record in player, coach and program development. He is a highly-regarded tennis professional and coach educator in Canada for displaying the highest standard of conduct and service to people, both on and off the court. Hassan is also a Tennis Canada consultant and a Course Facilitator, contributing to raising the quality of the content and delivery of coaching certification courses across the country.

Peter Fan

A Coquitlam local and a former top BC player, Peter is a competent manager, a devoted coach and a loyal professional sharing his love for the game with players of all ages and levels over the past 15 years. He has been instrumental in growing the game in Tri-Cities, developing the next generation of competitive players, running popular social events and successful sanctioned tournaments, and mentoring many young coaches in his community. Peter also helps deliver coaching certification courses as an assistant course facilitator in BC.

Katerina Boiko

Katerina is a strong leader, a versatile coach and an inspiring role model for the young generation of competitive players. She has trained and competed internationally, including in ITF Junior and ITF Challenger Events, and held #1 ranking in BC in U16s, U18s and Women's Open and Top #14 female players in Canada. Katerina has a wealth of competitive knowledge and over 6 years of coaching experience developing players of all ages and levels, ranging from youth and adult development to coaching junior high-performance and National Champions.

Zan Petrovic

Zan is a coach that radiates infectious enthusiasm and passion for learning and playing tennis. He trained and competed internationally, including in World Junior Team Tennis and men's Futures and ATP Events, and held #1 ranking in BC in U12s, U14s, and U16s. Zan is devoting his rich tennis background to building grassroots tennis and has over 7 years of coaching experience developing players of all ages and levels, ranging from youth and adult development to working with competitive and performance players.

Chill Yin Lee
Community Outreach Coordinator

A coach, a coordinator, a director, a recreation leader and programmer in clubs, schools, local municipalities, and non-profit organizations, Chill has been giving people the gift of sports and recreation for over 30 years. Chill is an award-winning Tennis Canada Community Champion and has been introducing people to the game and growing tennis participation in many communities by creating programs, developing players, mentoring coaches and promoting collaboration and partnerships.

Mauro Liceaga
Lead Instructor

A former top junior player and university team captain and champion in México, Mauro is a lifelong devotee of the game and an invested coach who will sweat alongside his players and fill their experience with laughter and a sense of accomplishment. With over 5 years of coaching experience ranging from university teams in México to recreational programs at community centres in Vancouver, Mauro is committed to serving players of all walks of life and supporting them along their tennis journey.

Viktoria Abanos
Lead Instructor

Viki began playing tennis in Bulgaria at age 7, and after moving to Canada, she continued to train as a high-performance player in this very facility. She was a top BC junior competing provincially and in several ITFs and USTA Events. And currently, she plays for UBC Women's Tennis Team while doing her undergraduate studies at Sauder School of Business. She started coaching three years ago to give back to the community that raised her and to inspire the next generation to play tennis for life. Viki is a caring and capable coach, an accomplished student-athlete, and a great role model for our youth.

David Garzon
Lead Instructor

David is a 3rd generation tennis player and first picked up a racquet at age 3 in his native Colombia, played at the national level as a junior and enjoyed his first taste of coaching at age 19. His love for tennis runs deep, and with the birth of his children, he found a new purpose in coaching. He received his Canadian Instructor Certification in 2018 and has been since evangelizing the sport within the Tri-Cities. With his deep love for tennis and care for players, David does not rest until he can help players push their game to the next level.

Gordana is a mom to former high-performance tennis kids, a tennis fan and a player, a professional photographer - who took these beautiful portraits - a seasoned administrator and a caring customer service provider. She has the magical ability to make players, families, and visitors feel at home so much that they bring her back baked goods and cookies. Gordana fills the centre with laughter and compassion, and always strives to give every child and adult the chance to play.
